FS WADE’S WHITE SHIRT/ZOOM OUT FS FBI SPECIAL AGENT WADE HAMILTON
FBI
agent Wade Hamilton walks through the door at FBI headquarters. He sits down at
his desk when his boss, Bill Blass, walks through the door at a fast pace.
BILL:
“Wade, in my office, stat.”
TWO-SHOT
Wade
looks at his partner Brad, sitting at the adjoining desk, and rolls his eyes.
BRAD:
“Man, you’re in trouble! I told you
that you were going too far. That stunt, it was funny but you went too far! I
mean… they actually thought it was going to be front page news only to found
out too late that the whole branch was laughing at them. You know Ken went
straight up the ladder. Man… you’re going to get fired! Did you see the look on
Bill’s face? Man… you’re getting’ canned.”
Wade
throws a pen at Brad and turns to walk into Bill’s office.
FS FROM BILL’S OFFICE
Wade
walks in and starts to sit down while talking fast,
WADE:
“Boss,
I wasn’t trying to cause…
Bill
interrupts him.
BILL:
“Close the
door!”
Wade closes
the door using the side of his boot.
BEGIN CU OVER THE SHOULDER TWO-SHOTS
BILL:
“I know all about that stunt you
pulled. I had a winning bet you’d out smart those idiots this time. But, if you
say one word about that, you’ll be out of here in a New York second! Do you
hear what I’m saying?“
Wade
doesn’t make a sound he only nods his head up and down.
Bill says it more sternly.
BILL:
“Do you hear what I’m saying, Wade?”
WADE:
“Yes, Sir!”
MS BILL/ZOOM OUT
Bill
stands and walks toward the camera as it zooms out to show the back of the
video equipment in the lower part of the frame. Wade can be seen above the
equipment on the right.
SWITCH ANGLE
Before
Bill starts the video, he turns around and pauses to look at Wade for a moment
subliminally getting him prepared for what he’s about to see.
BILL:
“Now listen, this is the reason I called you
in here. I received a call from an operative in London. They’ve run across some
serious stuff. They sent me this video. I want you to head this thing up.”
SWITCH ANGLE
Bill
turns on the equipment and sits down at his desk. At first Wade shows no
emotion, like a detective. Then the video gets worse and more violent. Wade
looks a little shocked… then angered to the point he has to turn away. Bill
stops the video before it ends.
WADE (IN ANGER):
“What the…? You
gotta be kidding me?”
BILL:
“Wade, if this girl is still alive, which I doubt… I want you to find her. This is the first video they’ve found where the girl isn’t dead at the end. She could be the one that will blow this whole case wide open.”
***
Wade leaves the office with a new case and determination. What happens during the case is something that he and those around him will never forget.
