The Breath of Gold | painting by Laveda D. Rockford

Image
The Breath of Gold In the land of glorious conifers, there are a few conifers with this special feature. God created this feature with His royal breath representing the gold color of the heavenly realm. The LORD my GOD sent this painting into my mind, and I must paint what He sends me. I saw it in my mind and painted it in one single day. I had a few touch-ups to do afterward to keep the clear, yet vision version of this painting.                 Isaiah 13:12                                  I will make humans rarer than gold, scarcer than Ofir’s (Ophir’s) pure gold.                 Revelations 21:21                   ...

The Handsome Warrior

Image
The Handsome Warrior Saturday evening as I was leaving the Powwow in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, I had already put my cellphone in my purse and how I wish I would have kept it out to take a picture of the most wonderful scene. A handsome warrior was standing, talking to his mother or wife. I could not tell the age of the warrior because of his regalia and face paint. His natural stance showing strength, honor, and composure filled me with such admiration that I told this man that I loved him as I walked by. He turned to look at me and saw my eyes widen as I realized what I had said. I tried, without avail, to explain the different love that I spoke of. As you know, I am a single, straight woman and I recognize a good-looking man when I see one, because he was. I did not attempt to flirt with him in any way. It was the lon...

Painting Update

Image
An update on the painting I am working on while giving thanks for all of the strong military people who gave their lives for our freedom. Freedom to live in a free society and choose what you want to do. Choices made can change lives for the better. Compassion, respect and peace. Love, Laveda D. Rockford

What Is The Purpose To The Reason

Image
What Is The Purpose To The Reason What is the purpose to the reason of anything? The purpose could be an end to something, or the intention through determination which someone intends to get or do. But to what end? The reason or plan, if you say, is to justify an act through premises of an argument. Does it make sense to be justifiably wrong about something which could lead to a change of heart among the people? I just read a scripture in the bible that talks about the rich and the poor.                 My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don’t show favoritism. Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in shabby clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” have you not discr...
