The Case of the War Princess by Laveda D. Rockford

Image
My third book is going to be exciting.  In The Case of the War  Princess, the FBI contact Wade about a case that they do not want to get involved with. A Princess was kidnapped and it would lead them in directions that would not be helpful at this time. After Wade speaks to the team, GIWADE accepts the assignment that will send them across the world. Quote:  Everyone in the room got up and walked out to get ready for this assignment. Gina, Wade, and Grace were the only ones left to man the phones and plan their trip. Silence and a feeling of peace were in the atmosphere giving them the courage that they needed to continue on. What a wonderful feeling when peace envelops you during the unknown. That can only come from God. Praise be to God that He is here. A Christian, mystery, crime drama.

In the front entry, I just watched a wall and a portion of the ceiling move to expose the second floor. Something is going on.” CINDY: “What?” STEVE: “I was watching through their camera system and saw Samata walk into the entry way with an assistant. The assistant moved, what I think to be a lever behind the desk, and the wall to the left disappeared into the adjoining wall; the design that is on the ceiling split in half and the left portion was attached to the wall that disappeared. It opened the ceiling to reveal a staircase and a huge chandelier. ...

IN THE CORRIDOR: AN EXCERPT

Image
I spent the day getting things ready for the season to come. I brought wood up for the wood-burning stove, piling it as high as possible.  With a little sadness, I removed the watering hoses from their summer perches. I left one out that is in a protected area but not attached to the outdoor faucet.  The hills are becoming autumn beautiful. The bluff near my house is accented in red from various bushes giving way for their sleep through the winter months.  It's such a beautiful time of year for it to be so nasty.  With Coronavirus cases being announced daily, my prayers are for those who are in the grasp of its tentacles. For a change of tone, here is a little more from my screenplay to get your minds off the troubles that plague our country. I hope you enjoy it and watch it in your mind's eye as the team continues on... THE CASE OF THE BLACK PEARL RING Screenplay excerpt *** FS TO TWO-SHOT Jim walked to the front door and checked the keys and found the one that fi...

George leaned up against the door and listened for any noise. GEORGE: “I hear a television, but no other noise.” George said quietly. Jim and Joy arrived and watched the corridor toward the north side staircase while Sam and Bart watched in the opposite direction. MS WADE Wade reached into his pack and pulled out his levers and proceeded to work the lock on the d...

THE CASE OF THE BLACK PEARL RING: FLYING AS THE WIND

Image
It’s that time of the year when butterflies glide through the wind alighting on a delectable flower. Take a look at this photo that I took of a butterfly on Creeping Phlox. Isn’t it amazing how God created these creatures perfect for their purpose as well as for our enjoyment? Butterfly on Creeping Phlox Since I am talking about enjoyment, who doesn’t like a good movie? I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t enjoy it occasionally. So, here is another excerpt of my screenplay. The Case of the Black Pearl Ring: Flying As The Wind screenplay excerpt Laveda D.
