Light, Beauty, Strength of Time

 

This bright sunshiny day brings beautiful sights during times of suffering. Why, you ask, can this be? It is a day of blessing among sorrow.

The clematis with its soft unfurling petals soften the corner of the patio seeking sunlit days while filling what would be a rather lonely white lattice. It fills my heart with beauty, softness, and the knowledge that hope leads us on during times of uncertainty. Just a few weeks ago I was not certain if I would see this beautiful clematis bloom but here it is giving me encouragement through the season that I have been in. I will bloom, someday, metaphorically speaking.

Then there is this, the non-fading red rose, Tiamo, carrying the scent of old-fashioned roses whose beauty is so understated until you get close and see its fashionable setting. What a glorious sight of this single rose.



All of these flowers open the wedding season, which I was invited to one but was not able to attend but I gave hope to the new couple with these words.

 

Light, beauty, strength of time,

Listening as wedding bells chime,

Two are joined, alone no more,

As future melody rings galore.

 

Your future is like a melody.

A melody is defined as pleasing sounds, or an agreeable succession of such sounds.

Let your words to each other in the coming years be soft on the ears that hear them. Be kind, slow to anger, regarding each other as better than yourself and your marriage will flourish. With God as your foundation, and Jesus Christ as your cornerstone, all will be well at home.

Some things are so beautiful that you cannot forget it, Some things are so awful that you cannot forget, Time stands still for a split second, While the mind records it all, When tears doth fall, The curse of it all, Began with the first sin of all, (Adam & Eve) Then a baby in a manger or feeding trough, Covered in cloth, swaddling cloth, The same they used on newborn sheep, These might have been already dappled, covered, To protect the little lamb, From times before, Beginnings of lore, Free, freedom, forever more, A little respite from satan’s snare, A lot of hope wafting through the air, A child of God, He did dare, To take the keys from the gates of hell, The Son of God, He is well, He lives in my heart, my mind, and body.  What can man do to my soul? *** Through all the tragedies that have been going on, we do have a redeemer.
