YAHREH : A NEW DEVELOPMENT AND A SILENT PRAYER

In the previous excerpt from my screenplay YAHREH, FBI Special Agent Wade Hamilton and his team were informed about the raid that was to take place. However, the latest news found Wade holding his phone between his knees with his head bowed.

The excitement of having this assignment over only to find out there was a crazy man on the loose was enough to blow the wind out of his sails. He wasn’t a praying man, but after meeting Gina, and sensing there had been a higher power at work here, he thought, What would it hurt? He said a silent prayer, asking the Lord to watch over Gina, and then, as an afterthought, he asked the Lord to give him insight on what to do.

He got up slowly after he finished talking to the Lord and opened his bedroom door. He yelled out to Juan, “Get the guys together for a briefing in five minutes.”

During the briefing, Cindy had to ask this question.

MS FBI AGENT CINDY

CINDY:
"Do we know what kind of car he's driving?"

FS FBI SPECIAL AGENT WADE HAMILTON

WADE:
"We're working with forensics trying to get a Make. The only thing Cal left behind was tire tracks." Right now all we know is it's a truck."

WADE STOPPED TO THINK HOW MUCH HE SHOULD DIVULGE BEFORE CONTINUING.

WADE:
"We were going to apprehend Fred today, but with this new development, Bill doesn't want to chance it. We think Fred will kill Gina if he felt threatened. Let's keep it quiet and see if we can spot Cal before he does any more damage. I want someone on Gina at all times, under constant surveillance. Understood?"

WADE WALKS OUT OF THE ROOM NOT WAITING FOR A REPLY.
