PEACE IS ACHIEVABLE

Image
It seems that we are always hearing about terrible things on the news. While our concerns about such things are dominating our world, we do what we can to ease the suffering of so many, yet feel that we haven't done enough. What is it that causes us to over think some issues and not think enough about others? Regardless of how I feel about one thing or another, my thoughts are only of peace and all that it encompasses.    Peace is achievable and should always be the first thought on the mind of those who walk in peace. I'm certain that we as a nation would not like to live in a country where we have no money for our personal use and this is something that I am concerned about. There is such a thing and I for one do not want to live off the government.    I'm certain that I am not the only one that feels this way. I want to work, and I do work at a full-time position, but I know that some of you are going through a very difficult time and are uncertain about your fut

GRADUATING CLASS OF 2020

I spent the weekend in Texas to attend a graduation. The speeches were uplifting for those young people. Many will go on to further their education and all want to make a difference in the world. Education can come in many forms.  My thoughts at a time when unrest is still ravaging our streets in America is to hold onto hope. Hope in Jesus Christ will get you through this uncertain time.  It is a time of hope for these young people. Knowing that they achieved their diploma, and it wasn’t easy for any of them. As you know, COVID-19 was the silent enemy of these young seniors. Not a normal graduation to say the least. But it was beautiful and they will never forget the year that they graduated.  I pray that each of these young people have a bright future. May God bless you and be with you always.  Because I love flowers, here are a few more photos of the flowers at the farm. With love,  Laveda D. Rockford  © 2020 Laveda D. Rockford

America was not made for this, America was founded on freedom - freedom to live without fear, freedom to worship without fear, and freedom to pursue happiness. Happiness is far from reach while I look at the carnage littering our streets. It has become a circus with no one in mind. Not one person is thinking of the other. Shameful! I think we have all forgotten what America is and what it stands for….. Brotherly love, kindness, and so much more.  Where I come from, neighbor helps neighbor, and it doesn’t matter what color you are. Many people have lost all that they had while waiting out the horror of COVID-19. Who is going to help them? The stores are servicing your neighborhoods. Why destroy what is needed? Why? This past week or so was a time that I only relied on scripture to stand and live in peace while the w
