THE CASE OF THE BLACK PEARL RING: PIC OF SALIENT ZOON


In the previous excerpt, Cindy and Wade were ready to catapult through the air. They have to cross more than one street to reach the building where Yahreh is being held. No matter how many times they went over the plan, something always has a way of sneaking up on them. And that’s what happened during this choreographed assignment.

TWO-SHOT TO THREE-SHOT
Brad and Ben were walking toward Georges location when they heard a voice ask,
SAL:
“What ya doin’ here, trash boys?”

FS
Cindy stopped short when she heard the voice. Cindy looked over the side of the building and motioned hold to Wade using her hand.
***
THREE-SHOT
Brad reached up and corrected his glasses.
BRAD:
“Do ya have somethin’ to eat?”
Sal looked at him long and hard.
SAL:
“No. Now get out of here.”
FS
On the back of Brads right glasses lens, a picture of the perp appeared.
FS
Brad reached up and clicked the button on the back of the ear piece to pause the notification. He wasn’t sure how loud the volume was. Since he was standing so near, he didn’t want to give away his cover.
THREE-SHOT TO THREE-SHOT REAR
BRAD:
“Come on.”
Brad said and reached out and grabbed Ben by the coat shaking him around. They both walked away, turning back a few times looking at Sal. They made sure to make it look like they were afraid of him and was checking to make sure that he wasn’t going to follow them.
FS TO TWO-SHOT
They turned the corner and looked back.
BEN:
“I wonder what Cindy and Wade are going to do now?”
BRAD:
Brad radioed it in.
“Cindy, did you hear that?”
CINDY, OVER THE EARPIECE:
“Affirmative. Did you get a pic of him?”
BRAD:
“Yes, looking at it right now. I’ll let you know soon enough.”
Brad pushed the pause button.
FS
The picture of Sal.
COMPUTERIZED VOICE:
“Match found, Gang member, Black Bloods, Salient Zoon, aka Sal, petty theft, aggravated assault, illegal handgun.”
Brad radioed it in.
BRAD:
“Cindy,…”
FADE OUT/ FADE IN

TWO-SHOT CINDY AND WADE/ LS/ TWO-SHOT CINDY AND WADE
Cindy stopped talking to Brad and looked at Wade.
CINDY:
“We’ve got a little problem. There’s a Black Blood standing below our position.”
Wade looked over the edge but couldn’t see anyone.
WADE:
“I don’t see him. He must be under the awning at one of the entrances.”
Not knowing what to do, Wade closed his eyes and said a silent prayer.
FADE OUT/ FADE IN

THREE-SHOT BRAD, BEN AND GEORGE
Brad and Ben caught up to George and discussed the situation. Not breaking their cover, they acted like a group of vagrants that haven’t seen each other in quite a while.
***
TWO-SHOT CINDY AND WADE
Wade looked at Cindy.
WADE:
“You’re not going to believe this but the LORD just answered my prayer.
CINDY:
“What did He say?”
WADE:
“I don’t understand it but He told me when I heard the bell, go.”
Cindy and Wade waited on the roof. Wade checked the equipment while Cindy contacted Ben.

  I Live For Freedom As you know, I have been on vacation. It began on Monday morning in Missouri, and we arrived in Maryville, Tennessee that evening. The Lord graced us with beautiful sunshine every day that we were there. The first day we drove into the Great Smoky Mountains, around curves, up mountains, and into valleys all green and yellow that introduced the early autumn season. The beauty of it all gave me a piece of awe that you can only get when you know the love that was placed into such a sight as this. This is where my Cherokee ancestors lived. While there, I had the privilege of visiting the Museum of the Cherokee Indian in Cherokee, North Carolina. Between June 1838 through March 1839, approximately 16,000 Cherokee were removed from their tribal lands and relocated to Oklahoma. It is said that approximately 4,000 Cherokee died.
