One Thousand Words | Laveda D. Rockford
One Thousand
Words
A hug can
say one thousand words,
That one
could not say,
A blessed
greeting, a blessed yes,
A blessed
time today.
A Mother’s
arms wrapped around a child,
whatever their age,
Can say
much more than on a mind,
a loved
hug today.
Without words
a hug fulfils,
A much-needed
way,
To tell a
person a mixture of words,
In one
single stay.
I could
not imagine a day or time,
A hug could
not reach,
The child,
my child, with love in my heart,
And this
hug will preach.
Hugging your
child is an honor bestowed,
On this
Mother’s Day,
Cherishing
the memories of long ago,
A baby, who
is formed to grow.
A hug can
say one thousand words,
That one
could not say,
A blessed
greeting, a blessed yes,
A blessed
time today.
If you,
yes you, are reading this,
A Mother
you did have,
For without
a Mother,
Yes, a
Mother, your life
would be
drab.
On this
Mother’s Day,
Let Mothers
enjoy it their way.
Do not use
this as a political play,
To endanger
and stain this day.
Our Mothers
should enjoy the right
To
celebrate, wouldn’t you say?
So, Happy
Mother’s Day from me,
To you
with love, hugs, and kisses.
Let us
celebrate our Mothers
As was
the way when time before was made,
To be a
day for Mothers only,
From a
Mothers love today.
