Scenes From The Porch

I have worked all week and finally found time today to write this and post it. It is an updated photo of my painting without using the flash on my camera. You can see it much better than the last photo I shared of my painting.

To begin with, I would like to remind you what the motto in my first book, Captive Deliverance, and screenplay Yahreh, is.

There is a reason for everything,

       And everything has a purpose.

Just like this painting that I just finished, R 1 of the Rockford Series, Scenes From The Porch. The scenery is picturesque. I can imagine relaxing on the porch listening to the singing call of the Meadow Lark and the soft cooing of the Dove.

A deep belief in God creates them both. Bringing thought of mind forward in action to present something others, hopefully, can understand. Even though a painting is often described from the mind of its beholder, the artist and author have the last say.

I hope this photo of my painting gives you a rest for one moment to breathe. For I know that there are many people who have suffered loss, experienced a tragedy, and/or are in poor health. I hope for a second to take your minds off of your worries and allow you to experience the peace that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ provides.

If it were not for my belief in the Lord, I would be shattered into a million pieces because of the things I have seen happening around me and in the world in the past few years. I can say that knowledge is good, but a good heart with knowledge is even better.

Which brings me to the motto of my second book and screenplay, The Case of the Black Pearl Ring,

Though a storm rages here,

Know that He is near.

He, meaning GOD!

God is always close to the broken hearted. I hope this reminder gives you comfort from your everyday concerns. My love for you is toward the love that Jesus Christ spoke about, which we are to emulate.

That being said, I hope that you have a blessed day and a wonderful week.

God bless and love always,

Laveda D. Rockford
