Looking out over the hills and valleys, and to walk in the steps of my ancestors. The Southern Missouri Fields of My Ancestors  The joy of hearing an ol' 'coon dog tree a squirrel, remembered in the here and after. Oh, the joy of momentous cry, the triumph of the skilled. Joyful as the years go by in my Missouri ancestors fields. Singing for good on Sunday morn' my Grandmother's voice could be heard. Rejoicing always for the good through the twists and turns of this world. While the hills and valleys of these woods continued all the while. The patter of feet in the old white house, wind blowing through, children gathering in the room while large snowflakes flew. Covered in white, Oh so bright, the southern Missouri hills. Joyful as the years go by in my Missouri ancestors fields. A righteous song could be heard rising through the throng, past the hills and past the woods up to the Righteous throne. When a new year begins, I, like most people, decide what resolutions I would like to try. At times, I strive and succeed.  One resolution that I have this year is to finish my second book. I hope to have it completed in a few weeks.  However, I have been working on a few resolutions for many years. It helps with my daily life. I hope you can benefit from this list.  To live in personal  peace  regardless of the situation, to love  more regardless of the recipient, and let the LORD fill my heart with joy  to overflowing so that you can understand the importance of that. These resolutions are a constant.  To live in personal peace regardless of the situation takes practice. Every day try to find a way to practice this principle. It is one thing that Jesus Christ gave us, therefore, it is obtainable.  To love more regardless of the recipient is a little more difficult. Not all recipients will accept a kind word or a kin...

In honor of the holiday season, let me tell you a Christmas story that happened to me a long time ago.  It remains in my memory as a bright, shining star among the dark silhouette back ground of the evening sky. I grew up in a home that celebrates Christmas. Steep in tradition, with Christmas carols, and the family gathering as most families do. Exchanging gifts, music a flow, cheerful smiles, around the glow… of Christmas. But one Christmas stands out among them all, a Christmas none, no, none at all. My Mother went shopping before Christmas day, to gather gifts for us that day. Smiling and excited to watch her children on Christmas day,… glad. Before going home, she had one more errand to run. Only to find, when she came back, that someone had taken all of the Christmas gifts that she had. Driving home with a heavy heart, knowing that she had to tell us, her children, my brothers and I, that we wouldn’t have gifts this Ch...

We celebrate Thanksgiving Day to give thanks for divine goodness. In America we celebrate the giving of bread to sustain the Pilgrims and native Americans through the winter. A gathering of people who cared enough to share the bounty that God gave each. I pray that each and every one of you have a blessed Thanksgiving Day!  If you are a Christian, I would like to invite you to celebrate with us no matter if you are an American or not. Please allow me to tell you about a day, the first Thanksgiving day.  Open your eyes to see before the the Pilgrims traveled the sea, before the car, before the Christmas tree. A time when things were unresolved and dangerous for many.  Watch as the ripples of waves come crashing onto the shore of a lake on a clear, bright day.
