In the previous excerpt Wade and Cindy are waiting for a bell to ring. In this excerpt, Salient Zoon, aka Sal, is surprised but not half as surprised as Gina.

THE CASE OF THE BLACK PEARL RING: THE BELL RINGS
SCREENPLAY EXCERPT

TWO-SHOT CINDY AND WADE
Cindy and Wade heard the bell and climbed up on the upper edge of the small wall getting ready to zipline across the expanse. Cindy clicked in on the rope and eased out.

FS REAR GINA CAMERA MOVING 
Gina didn’t see anyone through the small window on the door and was shocked when she walked down three steps and almost ran right into a person standing there. 

REVERSE ANGLE THROUGH SAL’S EYES/ MCU OF POCKET
Sal looked at the woman who almost ran into him and he noticed something in her pocket.

MCU GINA’S POCKET
It frightened Gina so much that she accidentally squeezed the keys in her right hand which caused her hand to move. Her hand squeezing the keys.

MS CINDY
Cindy is ziplining across the expanse first. When she started out, an alarm from a nearby car sounded. She turned to look in that direction.

OVER THE SHOULDER TWO-SHOTS GINA AND SAL

GINA:
“Oh,… excuse me.”

REVERSE ANGLE
Sal turned around and looked at Gina. 

REVERSE ANGLE
Gina automatically turned her face toward the sound of her alarm but saw nothing to indicate that it was her car sounding off. All she saw was the wall. 

MCU SAL
In contrast, Sal wasn’t even bothered by the sound. In this area, car alarms sounded quite often. 

MCU GINA’S POCKET
Gina moved her finger in her pocket to disengage the alarm. She hesitated and decided to let the alarm continue rather than make him aware of her nervousness. Her hand relaxes.

OVER THE SHOULDER TWO-SHOT GINA AND SAL
Gina turned to look at him and he looked at her.
