LAVENDER DELIGHT | Laveda D. Rockford

I spent Friday night with my Mother who purchased tickets for us to see JESUS at the Sight & Sound Theatre in Branson, Missouri. We have seen it before, and this performance was outstanding! The music, sound, set, set motion, production, actors, and their representation was excellent. I recommend it! This afternoon, I started a new painting. I have not named it yet but wanted to share a photo with you.

 


I am using a new technique that, I hope, works out. I will keep you posted about the progress. God bless all of you artists out there. Artistry can be anything in creativity. What you choose to do, I hope that it gives something good for others to smile about, a moment of thought, reflection, or inspiration for them to achieve their dreams.   A New Garden Feature Labor Day: a day set aside for special recognition of the workingman, or in this case, woman. In other words, it is a day to reflect on all of the work a person puts into their vocation. Though I have the day off, I still had to mow the lawn around my flower garden. And since I purchased a new garden feature, I had to post this about it. Purity is an especially important word in the Christian faith. The words purity and purify can be used interchangeably. Purity: the quality or state of being pure Purify: to grow or become pure or clean To honor our journey through this thing we call life, here is the new art feature in my flower garden. Life is what you make of it. You can make something good out of it or you can continue on the path that you have laid for yourself. It is all up to you.   Flower Garden Season Composition | Laveda D. Rockford I am trying my best in the heat of early summer to complete my flower garden borders. I have been working on this vision for almost two years and have finally reached a point where I can show you and you can understand. The newest section will contain a small patio area with table and chairs surrounded on one side with Buxus as a screen of privacy. Burgundy Plum and Cherry trees, as well as Sand Cherry and a few tulips will welcome spring weather. Then Iris will rise up until they burst into their beauty. Purple, yellow, and a burgundy and white combination. Oh, what a delight. Late spring into summer, Yarrow (Achillea) rise higher and throw on their crown of flowers acting as a forerunner into summer’s beauty. Phlox, Whirling Butterflies (Gaura) purple Salvia, Shasta Daisy, Hydrangea and Clematis all vie for attention in the summer sun.
