Flower Garden Season Composition | Laveda D. Rockford

I am trying my best in the heat of early summer to complete my flower garden borders. I have been working on this vision for almost two years and have finally reached a point where I can show you and you can understand.

The newest section will contain a small patio area with table and chairs surrounded on one side with Buxus as a screen of privacy.

Burgundy Plum and Cherry trees, as well as Sand Cherry and a few tulips will welcome spring weather. Then Iris will rise up until they burst into their beauty. Purple, yellow, and a burgundy and white combination. Oh, what a delight.

Late spring into summer, Yarrow (Achillea) rise higher and throw on their crown of flowers acting as a forerunner into summer’s beauty.

Phlox, Whirling Butterflies (Gaura) purple Salvia, Shasta Daisy, Hydrangea and Clematis all vie for attention in the summer sun.

The Rose of Sharon, single and double, tree and bush, will bring forth their beauty that will delight my eyes for a time.

Crape Myrtle and Sedum will make autumn shine. Then as the season begins to change, Winged Euonymus and autumn tree leaves shine into the spotlight as the wind blows softly across the yard.

Arborvitae and Buxus are here for all year season interest.

I hope you enjoyed this little composition about my flower garden. It has been a complete joy and a lot of effort to achieve this at this stage.

I will post some more photos of my garden when the project is finished.

Lots of love,
