  LAVENDER DELIGHT | Laveda D. Rockford I spent Friday night with my Mother who purchased tickets for us to see JESUS at the Sight & Sound Theatre in Branson, Missouri. We have seen it before, and this performance was outstanding! The music, sound, set, set motion, production, actors, and their representation was excellent. I recommend it! I have not named it yet but wanted to share a photo with you.   I am using a new technique that, I hope, works out. I will keep you posted about the progress. God bless all of you artists out there.   IT’S SPRING | Laveda D. Rockford I spent the morning cleaning out the flower beds. No, I am not done yet. There are so many flower beds at the farm that it will take me a couple of weeks to do it all since I have a full-time job. It lifted my spirit when I noticed a new little flower easing out of the ground.   I am not going to tell you what this is until it blooms. Of course, the daffodils are in bloom. Take a look at the photo. The bright yellow daffodils with a dusting of sunlight shining through from the background. Beautiful!   I noticed the Sedum was growing quite nicely. The fresh look of little green leaves growing up from the dark brown fertile Missouri ground. I thank God for the bountiful beauty this ground gives us. This year, it gave me something to think about. That the world is still turning, moving from season to season, and more flowers are bound to arrive.   The Bridge an unfinished painting by Laveda D. Rockford MY NEW PAINTING HAS A NAME Looking at the photos of my new painting, the name should be easy to recognize. Although, recognizing this little beauty is difficult for most people. W hile forests flourish next to the rambling water below, you can cross the road to sprawling hills of luscious green meadows. A sign unseen though apparent in the scene reaches up to the sky above this beautiful sight of The Bridge on a gravel road. The Bridge is my first commissioned painting, and it is not finished yet.   NEW PAINTING UPDATE 2022 | Laveda D. Rockford I shared a couple of photos of my new painting on my social media pages and did not share them here. I thought it would be nice to give my followers on this blog an update. Here are the photos that I shared.   And here is a new photo. I spent the morning painting and I still have a lot to do, but I am pleased with the progress. I hope you enjoy seeing the photos, too!   Remember, no matter what is going on in the world, God is good all the time, all the time God is good. We have the benefit of living an eternal life with an eternal God. It is a benefit that is important in this day and age. There are rumors of war. Remember, Jesus Christ will never leave us nor forsake us. That is where we stand. If you need more encouragement, read Psalm 33. A Sovereign LORD and what HE would like us to know.   My First Commissioned Painting | Laveda D. Rockford I am at home today because we are under a winter storm warning. It is an icy, snow day with more expected. So, I have been painting. Recently I received my first commissioned oil-painting request. I would have started it earlier but working full time and my responsibilities at home keeps me quite busy. So, I am taking advantage of this snow day and painting. Please do not read into these photos, I am righthanded and I usually always begin my paintings on the left side of the canvas. When I get to the righthand side of the canvas, my painting seems more difficult for me. I would love to hear from other painters if they have the same issue.
