AS THE HEART SEARCHES WORD FOR WORD

As I sit here thinking of this past year, my mind searches for happiness that escapes through discouraging thoughts that come with what we all know as a disastrous 2020. With closures and closings, demands of impersonal prompts, businesses drowning from doubt, while employees search for ways to compete with the decreasing work pool, where do we find happiness?

As a Christian my happiness this year as I look back has come from the Word, the LORD, my Lord, Jesus Christ. While we finish celebrating His birthday whether He was born this month or not, I searched the Word for mysteries that, for me, twinkle in the sky announcing something more. Read this and have your heart search for more than what man can offer. What God can offer through the years. God’s plans are so much more than what we could plan. That is enough for me to grip my anxiety by the tail and swirl it through space. No matter what, God has got this! To explain what I am talking about, read how God works through the years.

AS THE HEART SEARCHES WORD FOR WORD

In the book of Daniel, we read that Daniel, regardless of those who thought to take him down, was promoted to the point of being the first in a line of three governors over the whole kingdom. After all of this, King Darius made a decree over his kingdom that men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, for He is the living God. This leads us to believe that Daniel taught and spoke about the prophecies written and spoken many years before his birth. Throughout scripture prophecy is important.

Therefore, this is what makes it more interesting and understandable when Jesus received wise men from the East.

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying,

“Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”

Matthew 2:1-2

Could these men have been studying the same instruction that David led them to when he was there?

Scripture is a telling of mysteries and histories, of heroism and diadems, of little gods and the one true God, of prophecy and Jesus Christ. Scripture has it all, forever blending to reveal a gift for each reader. More each day as the heart searches word for word.

Have faith, be strong, and stand tall. Everything is going to work out just the way He wants it. Have a safe and Happy New Year.
